Mar 03, 2015 · My Tiger pistol shrimp on the other hand, killed two Wheeler’s before it finally paired with a Yellow Watchman goby. My gobies are very active and can be seen most of the time and the pistols often can be hand fed as well.
The shrimp maintains contact with the goby, courtesy of its long, highly sensitive antennae, while the goby primarily uses subtle movements of its tail to warn the shrimp if danger is imminent. Often pairs of gobies or pistol shrimps will inhabit the same burrow.
Nov 14, 2016 · I’ve got a Randall’s pistol shrimp and yellow stripe goby. I put some pebbles/larger grains of sand near the front by some rock and this has brought the pair forward and kept them there. The shrimp uses the pebbles and abandoned shells for construction.
